About twenty six centuries ago, a human being became fully-enlightened in this world. For forty five years he preached the doctrine of Nibbana, the ultimate liberation for all beings, offering the peaceful way of life based on non-violence, generosity, wisdom and meditation. He was then known as Gotama Buddha and his philosophy spread to neighbouring countries. His Teaching is still being studied and followed by more than 380 million people worldwide nowadays. His Original Teaching known as Theravada Buddhism, as practised by 46 million Myanmar (Burmese) people, is being presented here for the benefits of 'interested' citizens of the World, regardless of age, colour, faith, intelligence, sex and wealth.
