1. Main Rule : The discussion topics will concentrate on Pariyatti (Theoretical), Patipatti (Practical) and Pativedha (Realizable) according to Tipitaka, the Buddhist Canon. Pali words are to be used as required rather than Sanskrit. The Posting which are not suitable for forwarding to the group members will be deleted without prior notification to the authors.
2. Tradition Rule : Only Theravada Teachings and Tradition to be discussed and promoted. Please avoid, if possible, discussing other Traditions and Faiths.
3. Copy & Paste Rule : Copying and reproduction of other publications (with or without consent of the authors) without own comment are not accepted.
4. Translation Rule: The translating members must have established themselves as Pali Experts with proven ability to translate Tipitaka Texts accurately? ('Direct knowledge and experience' without Pali Expert status is obviously not acceptable in this group)
5. Self-Promotion Rule: The members should not post messages with the main intention (declared or not) of promoting their image and achievement by endorsing their own or associated websites, activities, etc. in the forms of circulars, announcements and invitations, for example.
6. Non-Dhamma Topics Rule: The members must refrain from discussing non-Dhamma issues as it may negatively affect the on-going Dhamma discussions. The examples are Politics, Business, Sports, Weather, etc.
7. Moderation Rule: Those members who regularly ignore these Terms and Conditions may not be able to post messages and they are likely to be removed from the Member List without prior notofication.
PS: The rules may be relaxed in exceptional situations at the discretion of the Moderators.
I believe most group members will be happy with these conditions.
