Buddhist Education: For ten years under Shwe Hin Tha Sayadaw, becoming an assistant teacher at Shwe Hin Tha monastery after five years.

Buddhist Activities:

 Went to India in 1997. He studied ancient Indian culture and basic sanskrit language for one year and completed a diploma course. Then he studied philosophy at the University of Bombay (Mumbai) and received a master degree (M.A). In 2000, he went back to Myanmar and taught the Dhamma and English at Sitagu International Buddhist Academy for one year. In 2001 he was sent to the United States of America to oversee the monastic activities and to teach the Dhamma at Sitagu Vihara, Austin, Texas. At present he is taking monastic responsibilities and is writing the thesis for his Ph. D. degree. He is working on the topic "Vedantic Mayavada and Buddhist Nothingness - A Comparative Study'.

Sayadaw Ashin Nanda Siddhi

Place of Birth: Moulmein, Myanmar; his parents are U Soe Win and Daw Yon, his lay name was Maung Tin Hlaing.
Higher Ordination: 30-05-1988 at Wezayandar Monastery in Moulmein; his preceptor was Aggamahapandita Baddanta Naginda.
Buddhist Education & Activities: He attended the meditation retreat conducted at Taung Wine Mahasi Meditation Centre in 1977 under the guidance of Sayadaw U Panditabhivamsa, of Panditarama Meditation Centre in Yangon.
In 1989, he moved to Mahagandaryon Monastery in Amarapura, Mandalay.
In 1992, he passed the Senior level examinations, and continued with his studies for the Dhammacariya.
In 1996, he moved to Panditarama Meditation Centre in Yangon to take up further practice of insight meditation under U Panditabhivamsa. He also continued with his studies.
In 1999, he was assigned by U Panditabhivamsa to take on the responsibilities of teaching Buddhist Dhamma and insight meditation at Santisukharama Meditation Centre in Kota Tinggi, Johor, Malaysia.
In 2001, Ashin Nanda Siddhi was awarded the Sasanadhaja Dhammacariya Degree by the Government. Sayadaw presently continues to reside at Santisukkharama Meditation Centre, leading insight meditation retreats and giving dhamma-talks.
Qualifications: B.Sc degree in Physics in1981 from Rangoon Arts and Science University
